Decked with Holly with Marni Bates and Giveaway

Parajunkee’s View is proud to welcome Marni Bates to the blog…we asked her about her writing and this is what she had to say: I wrote my first book under duress.  Okay, so that’s a slight exaggeration–my mom didn’t threaten me exactly. She just gave me the stink-eye, pointed at the old laptop she was loaning me, and insisted I get cracking on my novel. And then she informed me that as extra incentive (to make sure I wouldn’t stop half-way through) I would be submitting it as my […]

Book Blogging 101: You Can Do it! HTML Part 2

Learn HTML Part 2 Are we feeling good about our HTML knowledge? Last week in Learn HTML Part 1 we covered the tags & formatting. This week we continue with formatting, more specifically hierarchy. Header Tags Headers usage is good blogging practice, these help with SEO keywords (always good practice to use your keywords in a header tag) and it also helps for structure purposes and people that don’t view web pages in usual manner, vision impaired etc. <h1>This is h1 text.</h1&g […]

Soul Meaning by AD Starrling

Indies on PJV: Review Soul Meaning PJV Quickie: A dark paranormal thriller, that is heavy on action and suspense. I had a hard time getting in touch with the characters or the story. However, the wild ride was entertaining. Title: Soul Meaning Author: AD Starrling Published: 2012 Source: Author provided ebook Blurb: ‘My name is Lucas Soul. Today, I died again. Dishing Junk: Slam, Bam, Thank You Ma’am

[frame align="left"][/frame]Dishing Junk is a new feature that we will be starting on the PJV. The girls and I have realized that we need a place to vent our book & book blogger troubles. It might be something small and inconsequential that we thought was inappropriate to mention in a review – or it might be a genre-wide gush. This is going to be where we dish it out. You are more then welcome to join in on the discussion. The characters are in love…now what? When reading a roman […]

The WordPress / Blogger Saga continues

In my transfer from Blogger to WordPress I lost about 300 posts. I started with 1014 and now I have around 676. Most of these were old posts from 2009 and early 2010, but still, I want them to be there, therefor I’m slowly adding the old posts and back dating them. I apologize if your email subscriptions have a lot of posts in them. I’m doing this on the weekends when I don’t normally post so my current posts don’t get lost in the shuffle. XOXO – PJ

Review: The Way We Fall by Megan Crewe

PJV Quickie: Honestly this was my first disappointment for 2012. Maybe I was expecting a little more “pow” and “wow”  with all the hard-hitting dystopian I’ve been reading lately. Review: Cinder by Marissa Meyer

PJV Quickie: I was completely sucked in by ‘Cinder’ and did not want to leave! This book meshed fairy tale with science fiction in a perfect blend that has me heart-broken that I have to wait until 2013 to get my hands on ‘Scarlet’ (book two). Title: Cinder Author: Marissa Meyer Series: Lunar Chronicles #1 ISBN: 0312641893 Publication:  Published January 3rd 2012 by Feiwel & Friends Purchased copy provided by Sam’s Club Metaire, in exchange for cash money.
