About The PJV

Parajunkee’s View, started in August of 2009, primarily focuses on books, fiction genre books to be specific. But, over time the blog has morphed into a community outlet for much more, including movies (usually based on books), television shows and other entertaining, artistic outlets. The blog also features tutorials for other bloggers on how to improve their own  blogs, and memes that target improving page views and networking. The blog was created by Rachel Rivera, who is also known as Parajunkee. She continues to maintain most of the blog, only letting go slightly of the reigns on the weekends, when her friend and fellow New Orleanian, Patti of LovesFabRomance slips in a bit of contemporary romance.

Parajunkee.com has won several awards, including the BBAW Best Written Blog Award and Best Feature awards. Parajunkee.com was also a finalist in the Goodreads.com Independent Book Blog awards.

I’m just a girl who adores books! Reading has been my passion for as long as I can remember and I’m hoping I can pass that on to my son. When I’m not buried in a book I enjoy spending time with family, kicking my husband’s butt in video games, and watching my favorite TV shows (I sort of have an unhealthy obsession with reality TV).
