Welcome to the Feature & Follow

Increase Blog FollowersThe Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? The goal is to increase blog followers and make friends. First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools — keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to WordPress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don’t have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.

All features are chosen randomly to be the feature. They are not chosen by content or name.

Our Feature is Bieke of  Book Addict Bieke

When did you start blogging?
Just a few months ago. December 4th last year! I was already a member of Goodreads and through that site, I met other bloggers and reviewers and just started doing it myself. I’ve always loved reading but never thought about reviewing or blogging until I discovered Goodreads and I’ve grown to love that site so much over the past few months. I wouldn’t have read half the books I have and adore now if it weren’t for Goodreads.

What is your favorite part of book blogging?
Reading and reviewing books. I’m still growing as a reviewer, but I learn each day and hope to get as good as Steph and Kat from Cuddlebuggery or you guys. But I love doing it and I love that it helps an author to receive a good review from someone.

What type of books do you mainly blog about?
A lot. Mostly Young Adult I think. I love so a lot of genres, but YA and Fantasy are probably main genres.

What is your favorite book(s)?
Oh god, that question. It’s so hard to answer. At the moment my favorite book is Hidden Gates by D.T. Dyllin and its sequel Broken Gates. I love those books so much and Dara is an incredible writer. But I also love the books from J.A. Redmerski, Colleen Hoover, H.D. Gordon, Marissa Meyer,… A lot of talented authors in the world!

What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?
The friends I’ve made, being part of this huge bookblogging community and it’s fun doing it! I’ve never had a lot of friends that love reading as much as I do and now I do and I have people I can talk with about books and get excited about books with them. That’s the best!

This weeks Question:

Activity! Hopefully warm weather for most of us is here soon…so tell us about your favorite outdoor reading spot. Or take a picture.

This is my favorite spot. It looks out across the lawn so I can watch my little offspring run around like a lunatic and read my book at the same time.

    • Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say “hi” in your comments and that they are now following you.
    • If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn’t have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed
    • Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don’t just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don’t say “HI”

    • If you’re new to the follow Friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!

I love the purple chairs, maybe you should put a pillow/cushion to make it more comfy, my bum gets sore when I sit on a non-cushioned seats for long periods of time and sometimes when I’m reading, long periods can’t be helped as I just won’t get up! “Just one more chapter…” is a common internal argument I have LOL
