Welcome to the Feature & Follow
Increase Blog Followers, gain Book Blog Followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.
The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools — keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!
What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to WordPress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don’t have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.
All features are chosen randomly to be the feature. They are not chosen by content or name.
Our Feature is Ali @ Ginger Read
When did you start blogging?
April 2012
What is your favorite part of book blogging?
It’s changed over time. At first I enjoyed just being able to vent my thoughts. Now, I really enjoy the relationships with other bloggers and with authors. I’ve met some great people.
What type of books do you mainly blog about?
That has also changed over time. It was mostly YA because I was trying to read the same books as my daughter and her friends. Now I have added New Adult, Adult and Horror back in. I’ll read just about anything though.
What is your favorite book(s)?
Wow, that is a huge list. I am a fan of series. Some favorites would be Vampire Chronicles, Harry Potter and Experiment in Terror.
What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?
That goes back to the people I’ve met. There are a few that even though I’ve yet to meet them in person, I consider them friends for life. I received an email from an author the other night that I had given a not so glowing review to. She thanked me for it and said it encouraged her to re-work how she was moving forward with the series. That was pretty huge for me and I was a little emotional about it…still am. I still feel like a new fish in an old pond but it’s nice to know that maybe my thoughts are helping someone further their career.
ACTIVITY: Write a letter to your favorite character. Rant, rave or gush…just pretend like they are real and you just want to let them know a “few things”. – Activity courtesy of author, Kelly Walker
I really liked you girl. You were awesome. I was rooting for you, even after you went through that Kiyo faze. A kitsune? Really? But, never mind that. That is old news. Can’t judge a girl by her exes, right? I don’t want you to look at the guys I dated in the past. Yours turned out to be a sneaky fox, mine a racist slob. To each her own.
But, I’m not digging what you did to Dorian. Or are still doing to Dorian at this moment. I’m a mother. That is not cool. Not cool in the least. And when he finds out. And he will…well who is stronger? From one girl to the other, you’ll never be at peace until you come forward with the truth. You’ll always feel like you are looking over your shoulder, waiting for the truth to be revealed. I guess we’ll never figure out what happens though, since your author just ended the series like that. But, of course that isn’t your fault.
XOXO – Rach
Keep it real.

This made me smile so dang hard! Keep it real
I wrote to Stephanie Plum @ The Brunette Librarian
I love Eugenie! I’m so sad that the series ended. I wanted to strangle Kiyo for being such a jerk.
My FF
I have read VA and Bloodlines, but none of the other ones yet. I really liked your letter to her though. Kitsunes are so sly and not often found in novels. I love what you say about the importance of honesty. Jaclyn @ JC’s Book Haven
Great Letter!! Loved it!!

Great activity! A real thinker
Congrats to the features! I don’t think I’ve heard of the series your letter was about, but I’ll try to look into it based off the character names. My letter is to Hercule Poirot, I know kind of old but I gotta love him! Have a wonderful day!

This is a great activity this week. So awesome!
LOVE this idea! Great letter! FF
Oh Fun! is this from Vampire Academy? I just picked up the first book to that series, but haven’t read it yet.
It’s funny, just last night I was watching Vampire Diaries and was telling my hubby I wished they would bring in the Kitsune, because you rarely see them in books, but you never see them in TV shows.
YAY an activity! This was fun!
Old follower hopping through, here’s my my FF post for this week.
Have a fantastic Friday Rachel!
I don’t know why I showed up as ‘Name’ up there – but that was me!
I am SUCH a fan of this activity! Great idea & great letter, thanks for hosting Rachel
This was a really fun activity! (I’m glad you posted it on FB early too because it took me a while to write my letter). I love your newest header! Old follower.
Traci @ Mad Hatter Reads
I’m really enjoying reading everyone’s letters!
I love your letter to Eugenie – it’s spot on! I do like to think that she did the right thing and told Dorian (yes, I’m a glass half-full kind of gal
and Dorian, being Dorian, will forgive Eugenie because he’ll be so excited!
Oh, how I love Dorian. *sigh*
I still haven’t read this series, but I plan to someday. Really love Richelle Mead’s writing! Old follower.
Happy Friday!
Nice letter! I stopped this series after book one (mainly b/c I didn’t like Kiyo). I remember really liking Dorian, though. Sigh, sad the author left the series in an unsatisfying way–but I guess that just means we can imagine it ending any way we want
Ninja Girl
Great idea! I had fun choosing my character – and its my first blog hop! I chose David Martin from The Angel’s Game: You can read my letter here!
I loved your letter even though I never read the books!
