Welcome to the Feature & Follow
The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!
We have a new button. What do you think?

How does this work? The goal is to increase blog followers and make friends. First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools — keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!
What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to WordPress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don’t have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.
All features are chosen randomly to be the feature. They are not chosen by content or name.
Our Feature is Kathryn of Kathryn’s Inbox
When did you start blogging?
This is actually my second blog. My first was a sort of extended e-book chronicling the life of a woman named Abigail. I started this one because I wanted to share my love of books and connect with other bookworms.
What is your favorite part of book blogging?
Definitely all the friends I’ve made
That and the odd free book.
What type of books do you mainly blog about?
Chick-lit, classics and YA, but I’m always willing to read and write about something new.
What is your favorite book(s)?
A Room With a View by EM Forster.
What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?
This is definitely a highlight
This weeks Question:
Confess your blogger sins! Is there anything as a newbie blogger that you’ve done, that as you gained more experience you were like — oops?
RULES
To join the fun and make new book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:
- (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts {Parajunkee & Alison Can Read}
- (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers
- Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
- Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say “hi” in your comments and that they are now following you.
- If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn’t have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed
- Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don’t just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don’t say “HI”
- If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love…and the followers
- If you’re new to the follow Friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!
Happy Follow Friday!

So, true! I also used to just grab images from the net without credit…until I started photography as a hobby and peeps started grabbing my photos as well!
Thank you for such a marvelous idea. I am new to book review blogging and I’m having a blast so far. Probably making a mistake every time I turn around, but I’m sure having fun doing it! I love your designs and webdesigns. I am going to have to take a crash course and try to pretty up/organize my site some.
new to the FF, too!
Uh oh – This one month old blogger needs to educate herself. I’ve been using gifs without crediting… I’ve got a lot to learn!

I love the new button!
Wow, I like how you admitted to some of your blogger regrets or what you perceive to be mistakes even as a seasoned blogger
Why WordPress over Blogger? That made me curious!

It’s easy to get lost on which platform to start off with. I know some prefer WP because it looks more professional others prefer Blogger. I think go with what you feel more comfortable with.
I think, the more you blog the more you learn. I have definitely found that to be true for me.
I have a wordpress blog too. I can’t use java script on mine, but I do love wordpress.
I am glad I had my husband when I first started blogging because he taught me how to do it and told me some of the rules about it etc. I did over commit though in the first few months!

Have a great weekend!
I didn’t even think about the Blogger vs WordPress thing, because I changed only three months after I started blogging.
I love reading everybody’s answer this week. It’s important to try to always do the right things when blogging
Here’s my FF post for this week. Have a fantastic Friday Rachel
Thanks for sharing Rachel & hosting! You mentioned some good common ones I think many bloggers have done some or most of those too…and I think a lot of people would have questioned the Marcus Finch one more if they knew what they were getting into! Happy Friday
Old follower.
I *love* the new button!
Thanks for hosting… and for all your blogging tips. They’re uber helpful.
Brandy
I know that feeling, I’m so paranoid about using someone else’s images without giving credit!

Oh my gosh! Reading this from you makes me feel so much better! This was my regret that I posted and I did it for the exact same reason as you did. I thought it was okay if I wasn’t getting paid or if I wasn’t using it for commercial purposes.

I LOOOOVE your design! You are SO talented! <3
Old follower hopping through! Here is my F&F! Have a great weekend!
I have just joined up! I am very excited to start getting exposure to my blog!
I’m a really old follower of yours, Parajunkee, lol. You’re one of the first blogs I started following over a year ago. I just joined in FF, and I love it! It makes it so easy to meet new people!
My FF
This is a little late, but I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed this last FF. I felt like we were all on some trust exercise at a blogger retreat (if those even exist…in my head they do). We all have the same stacked shelves, the same overdue deadlines, the same rough starts. So thanks!
