Feature and Follow #135

PJV Readers

Welcome to the Feature & Follow

Gain New Blog FollowersIncrease Blog Followers, gain Book Blog Followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools — keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to WordPress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don’t have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.

All features are chosen randomly to be the feature. They are not chosen by content or name.

Our Feature is Adria’s Romance Reviews Among Wildlings

When did you start blogging?

I started in June of 2012.

What is your favorite part of book blogging?

Meeting other romance novel fans, giving and receiving books and interviewing authors.

What type of books do you mainly blog about?

Romance. I don’t do heavy BDSM books though. I prefer, Paranormal, Contemporary, Historical and Erotic Romance.

What is your favorite book(s)?

Oh there wouldn’t be time to list all my favorites so I’ll give you a few of my top authors that I always pre-order: Tessa Dare, Laurann Dohner, Joan Swan, Liz Crowe, Elizabeth Hoyt, Lydia Dare, Sabrina Jeffries, Larissa Ione, Lara Adrian, Gaelen Foley, and Sherrilyn Kenyon.

What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

I have rediscovered my love of romance novels, and writing but have also gotten to meet some really great bloggers and worked up the nerve to chat with some of my favorite authors via Twitter (they’re like movie stars to me)

I’ve realized exactly what it is I want to do with my career choice. I always liked reading, but I couldn’t figure out how to become a professional reader lol When I started blogging, I was introduced to the HUGE world of publishing and I realized that it would be cool to be a Public Relations rep for a publishing company. So I decided to go back to school and get a Masters in Publishing :)

Q: Happy Mardi Gras! If they were throwing the HOTTEST books off of a Mardi Gras float — what would you do to have them throw to you…?

While this might be a fun question for everyone else, being a New Orleans native, I wouldn’t do anything! Girls put your boobs back in your shirt! I will wave my hands, maybe jump up and down but there is no way I’m flashing tata for a book. You should see these women. I did see a pretty nifty idea though. chick took socks and stuffed them in panty hose, painted nipples on them and wore a nude leotard. So she would lift up her shirt and show her “boobs” which were just panty hose. It was funny and she fooled a lot of people. I would do that.

What books would you want to have ‘em throw at you?

Really, you live in New Orleans? Is it really as interesting as they make it out to be in books and movies? Hehe. You must get that a lot.

Old follower via Linky! My FF.

    Happy weekend :)

  5. I really loved the question this week and I’m super happy to be a featured blog. It’s a labor of love trying to carve out my little niche in the blogging world.

  6. Hmmm… Interesting, the question of at Alison Can Read asked which books you’d want tossed to you… Not what you would do for them. I suppose I’d make a fool of myself in the interest of snatching the newest Cassandra Clare book though!

  7. Great answer…. I don’t think I would show flesh!! Lol

Great question this week. And I’m really happy, because I actually got GFC to work on my wordpress blog yesterday, so it’s even easier for peeps to follow me now.

Old follower hopping by, here’s my my FF post for this week.

  11. That’s actually a pretty clever idea! It must be really fun to live in New Orleans and experience Mardi Gras! :)

  12. lol Same here, I definitely wouldn’t do that for a free book, that is just silly but people do more for less..for a bunch of bloody plastic beads for goodness sake..not nearly as awesome as a bookFF

  13. HA! Pretty smart idea. :D

  14. That’s a great idea. I saw some similar things when I lived there (although it was usually on drunk guys LOL). Old follower.
    Traci @ Mad Hatter Reads

  15. Too funny! That’s a totally brilliant idea.

    My FF is here. :)

  16. That is very creative, but I don’t know if I’d even do that. I’ve been to NOLA several times and have never lifted up my shirt. I wouldn’t for books…I’d wait to go to the library.

  17. See, I never even thought of that aspect of it – I’ve never been to a Mardi Gras Parade and it’s not something we really celebrate here. But yeah, I would not be flashing my boobs for any kind of prize…even books! That chick had a good idea though haha! Thanks for sharing & hosting :) Congrats to Adria!!

  18. That’s hilarious about the pantyhose boobs!! lol <3
