Welcome to the Feature & Follow
Increase Blog Followers, gain Book Blog Followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.
The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!
How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools — keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!
What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to WordPress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don’t have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.
All features are chosen randomly to be the feature. They are not chosen by content or name.
Our Feature is Anya @ On Starships and Dragonwings
Q: Who is your favorite villain from a book?
From the Teaser 1 posted on Karen Marie Moning’s Facebook page:
He chimes my name in the language of the Unseelie and it makes my ears ring until my mind is emptied of all thought, until my eyes are incapable of beholding any vision other than him. He is so beautiful that merely looking at him makes me weep and when I brush tears from my cheeks, my hands come away stained red with blood.
He wakes me but doesn’t wake me.
He takes me to a place that is so perfect and serene and free of worry that I want to stay there forever.
My name is Cruce, he says. Not V’lane. I was so weary of wearing his golden shining face. He was never half the Fae I am. I have you in the Dreaming, is it not beautiful? Do you not feel divine here with me? You need not fear me. I am not what I seem. I’m in danger.

good choice! The deeper character development is what makes the villains more interesting(:

Haha, I promise I’m not a demon
(anymore!) I also loved that show, though it was weird to hear my name all the time, since that is a pretty rare occurrence unless people mean me! I do really like it though and I hope your daughter does too
Thanks again for having me as your featured blogger this week, if you can’t tell I’m very excited
Cruce is an excellent choice! I was so mad he when was revealed not to be V’Lane! And I absolutely adore Ian!!! Old follower

Oh oh ooooooh! Loved the excerpt! I’m a huge evil Faerie fan so I really need to make a start on this series!
Anya was my favourite thing about Buffy too! And Spike during his “I’m not making puppy eyes at the slayer, don’t be daft!” stage.
Great choices this week! Loved this question!
Happy Friday!
Great answer this week
Oooh great choice, I do have a soft spot for ‘V’lane’ – my FFF pick is also someone from the Fever series
Thanks for hosting & congrats to Anya for being featured!!
Old follower.
Hello!
I loved that show! I was actually watching the episode of Whats my Line last night!

Great choices! I love me some evil baddies too!
My FFs are at Musings on Fantasia and LKHill. Happy Friday!
Fantastic! What an excellent choice and I really enjoyed reading the passage. I love it when you aren’t sure the villain is actually a villain or in Anya’s case when they are so certainly the villain but change their stripes. Old follower
Jaclyn @ JC’s Book Haven
I think my brain has died from going back to school this week, I could not think of any Villain except the ones from Harry Potter.
Ohh, I LOVE me some Cruce (V’Lane) too!
Can’t wait to see what sorts of havoc he’ll wreak next!
I chose Trent Kalamack from The Hollows series…maybe not quite as *hot* as Cruce but I still love him.
Oh Cruce is a good one!
Amanda
Lets Get Romantical
That’s a good one. I decided to choose a villain that I instantly hated. I do enjoy a good contrast between villain and hero. Great question.

Oh, Rachel, Rachel, Rachel. you named your daughter after a villain? You were asking for it, weren’t you? I am glad to hear that she STARTED of as a baddie, which leads me to believe that she has transformed into the picture of sweetness.
good choice! My FF
Jackie @Jackie’s Book World
I don’t think I would have picked Warner if I hadn’t read Destroy Me. I was also thinking Blake from The Lux Series but wasn’t sure if he was truly a villain or just someone who pisses me off and that’s kinda a spoiler alert pick. I would love a scene from his point of view though.
Oh Cruce! Yes, I didn’t think of him at all when I wrote mine, but he’s a great choice. And I really love the question this week!
Here’s my FF post for this week.
Have a Fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend
Heyas!
I’m new to the FFF and a new follower
I love Ian from The Night Huntress series! I don’t really see him as a villain (well in the first few I think?) but as he became more part of the team I fell in love with him
My FFF
I like your choices. And yes, Warner was one of mine, but he’s hard to resist

Great answer, love that you’ve named your daughter Anya!

Cruce is an excellent choice! He’s a brilliant villain. Hope there’s more about him in the next book!
I struggled with this one because I couldn’t think of a villain I actually liked. But since you said Ian I decided that was good enough because I looove Ian!
Here’s my Follow Friday
Have a GREAT weekend!

Great choice! I loved Anya by the end. I even tried to name my daughter Anya but my hubby shot me down he’s italian and had to have a italian name. So I let him pick and he chose Isabella as in Isabella Swan. I should of known better he was deployed after the first movie and asked me to send the books for him to read during his downtime.
I’ve only read the first Fever book but plan to finish the series up in the next few months when I get caught up. I can’t wait to get to know Cruce.
Thanks for the great share.
Have an awesome week!
I’m re-watching Buffy atm! Have a great weekend

I love Anya! She was one of my fave characters on the show! And, I also loved Warren, Jonathan, and Andrew because of all their geeky awesomeness!
I still need to read Karen Moning’s books. I’ve heard lots of good things about them.
PS–I love what you’re doing with your blog. Every time I actually come here and not just read it through Google Reader, there’s something different and more eye catching.
