Desperatly Wanting Wednesday: So Good I Need a Tee

Desperately Wanting Wednesday, hosted by Parajunkee's ViewDesperately Wanting Wednesday, is inspired by the meme Waiting on Wednesday, which was created by Breaking the Spine. But, unlike WOWs, Desperately Wanting Wednesday is not only for releases that I’m waiting on, it’s also for released novels that I just haven’t purchased yet, or might be sitting on my shelf that I want to read, but just haven’t gotten there yet. These are the books I want to read, what about you?

The book that for the next 12 days I will be freaking out about…

The Only book release that I’m actually making a t-shirt for…

The blurb:

The year is 1 AWC—After the Wall Crash. The Fae are free and hunting us. It’s a war zone out there, and no two days are alike. I’m Dani O’Malley, the chaos-filled streets of Dublin are my home, and there’s no place I’d rather be.

Dani “Mega” O’Malley plays by her own set of rules—and in a world overrun by Dark Fae, her biggest rule is: Do what it takes to survive. Possessing rare talents and the all-powerful Sword of Light, Dani is more than equipped for the task. In fact, she’s one of the rare humans who can defend themselves against the Unseelie. But now, amid the pandemonium, her greatest gifts have turned into serious liabilities.

Dani’s ex–best friend, MacKayla Lane, wants her dead, the terrifying Unseelie princes have put a price on her head, and Inspector Jayne, the head of the police force, is after her sword and will stop at nothing to get it. What’s more, people are being mysteriously frozen to death all over the city, encased on the spot in sub-zero, icy tableaux.

When Dublin’s most seductive nightclub gets blanketed in hoarfrost, Dani finds herself at the mercy of Ryodan, the club’s ruthless, immortal owner. He needs her quick wit and exceptional skill to figure out what’s freezing Fae and humans dead in their tracks—and Ryodan will do anything to ensure her compliance.

Dodging bullets, fangs, and fists, Dani must strike treacherous bargains and make desperate alliances to save her beloved Dublin—before everything and everyone in it gets iced.

  1. Fun fact: After just 24 years living in Ireland, I have never once met anyone named O’Malley. Or Ryodan. Or Dani. Checks the author out. Yup, American.

It doesn’t take two minutes to look up Irish names and doesn’t speak well for the research. Probably won’t be reading as I’ll nit-pick and be annoyed.

  2. Let’s see the t-shirt!! LOL

I can’t wait to read more about Ryodan.

  3. OMG girl I am so agreeing with this blog post this is ONE book I will be at B&N getting as soon as they open!! LOL

  4. Oh I had no idea this book was coming out. It looks awesome! I still have to read my first KMM book which I bought a couple months ago. Is it YA? I’m definitely intrigued. That description sounds wicked.

Of course I can’t imagine any book I’d make a Tee for. Because that would just be mean to the poor book. A 3 y.o would do a better job at it than me.

Though I’d totally pay someone else to design a Tee for either the 2nd book in the SWEET EVIL trilogy or the sequel to Masque of the Red Death…

  5. OOoh that would be an awesome tee! I would make one of 13 to Life by Shannon Delany, It was YA but I loved the series and the first cover was just awesome!

    Here’s my WoW

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower :)

  6. OMG! Dude seriously… I would make a t-shirt for Dance of the Red Death! Like no joke.

  7. I want a t-shirt!!! I just asked Kit Rocha if she was going to do t-shirts for her Beyond Shame series :)

  8. I don’t know about making a shirt but I do love wearing my Barrons’ Books and Baubbles tshirt. It’s even better when someone asks me where the store is located! HA HA! And carrying the matching tote bag is double the fun! I can hardly wait for ICED!

  9. I so want this book. I’m willing to do anything for it.

    Grace
