Welcome to the Feature & Follow
Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!
How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools — keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!
What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to WordPress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don’t have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.
All features are chosen randomly to be the feature. They are not chosen by content or name.
Our Feature – Carmen of Book Me!
When did you start blogging?
All the way back in March 2012! I know, I’m practically ancient!
What is your favorite part of book blogging?
Oh my goodness, so many things! I love the memes! Dropping by every week to visit blogging buddies, and meeting new people that are as book crazy as I am! We have a really strong community and aside from the occasional “scandal”, as a whole everyone is really supportive of one another! And yeah, the review copies are kinda sweet, but I don’t think you could do this blogging thing if your heart wasn’t in it! Free books don’t necessarily guarantee a great blog!
What is your favorite book(s)?
Gah! This is such a tough question! Okay, I’m going to limit it to five or we’ll be here all day:
Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma (that book almost killed me)
Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Blackbrooke by Emma Silver
Easy by Tammara Webber
And
City Of Bones by Cassandra Clare
What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?
I’ve been fortunate enough to meet some really wonderful authors and bloggers through Book Me! There are some fantastic bloggers out there that work really hard at what they do, which is amazing considering what drives them is solely their need to talk about the books they love!
Having to regularly update my blog has really honed my skills and “Voice” as a writer, so that’s been invaluable!
And without the support of Book Me!’s followers, and a very special author I know . . . ahm . . . Emma Silver, I probably never would have had the courage to submit my work to a publishing house. Now I have a short story being published by Crooked Cat Publishing and I’m hoping to finally get my YA series off the ground in the next year!
Q: Worst cover? What is the worst cover of a book that you’ve read and loved?
Ready to see it…

To join the fun and make new book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:
- (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts {Parajunkee & Alison Can Read}
- (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers
- Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
- Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say “hi” in your comments and that they are now following you.
- If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn’t have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed
- Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don’t just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don’t say “HI”
- If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love…and the followers
- If you’re new to the follow friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!

Old Follower,
Becky @ Book Bite Reviews
LOL glad it wasn’t what you thought it was. I hope they changed the cover art, it looks iffy indeed.
I agree that cover is terrible. I wonder what it is about though and it does look very confusing.

After following this blog for the last couple years, I finally participated in my first Feature and Follow! Go me! Thanks for hosting such a great Blog Hop. It’s difficult to try to reach new people, and this just makes it that much easier…and fun!
That cover is horrible. Ugh. I would have run the other way screaming, ‘Don’t make me read it. Don’t!’ But I am glad it all worked out.
Hmm, not a fan of that cover at all.
Not a good cover. I wouldn’t have even picked the book up. Glad it worked out though. I guess that is what they mean when they say don’t judge a book by it’s cover.
Great interview!! That book cover is really yuk!! The story better have been worth it. I wouldn’t have picked it up at all!!
I can see how you could mistake the content of the book because of this cover. I would too!
Have a good weekend!
My FF!
Stoppin and hoppin, Hi Rachel!
the Stephanie Plum series covers. I truly love the books, but
could do without the colorful jackets. Course, since I own every book
in the series and I love them all, the jackets are acceptable by
associated love for the books
Hi I’m new to the blog hop http://www.vampandstuff.com
This is my first time in the hop
I can see why you think this is the worst cover.
Here’s my Follow Friday

Scarlett @ Books Before Bed!

That cover would have made me think of a guy who was looking at himself in the mirror, but then, the title is misleading
Old follower stopping by to wish you a wonderful weekend and share my FF post.
The cover DOES look gay… Hi, I’m a new follower and also new to FF. My First FF
Hmmm, that cover really isn’t great!

That’s a weird cover!
Yeah, I could completely see how this book could be interpreted as a gay book.
Good choice. That one would make me think gay too.
