Desperately Wanting Wednesday is not only for releases that I’m waiting on, it’s also for already released novels that I just haven’t purchased yet, or gotten to.
I have a terrible time with established series, the moment I get bored by one book, or get distracted and never pick up the next book, so the series stops for me and then I read reviews of the later books and I’m all, “Ack — I feel left out!!” Here are the series I need to get back to (these are the books of that series I need to buy):
Do you have a series that you need to finish?
If you want to participate in a Desperately Wanting Wednesday, you are more then welcome to join in. Here are buttons and a link-up list to leave your post URL:

There are a few series I have to continue and like you feel left out when reading a review of book 2. It’s just that there are so many new one coming out
Magic Strikes is when the series starts getting really fantastic. Hop you enjoy it when you finally get to it
Sookie!!!! I love those books
I’m definitely excited for the new one to come out!!
I love the Kate Daniels series! You really need to finish that one! It’s getting to the really good stuff now.
I have yet to get caught up in the Kitty series and the Kim Harrison series. If I meander away from a series for a while, it’s almost like pulling teeth to get me back into it (but I usually kick myself later for resisting).
I’m participating too! My post
Many books on your list that I love, but like you, I desperately need to catch up on. Have you tried listing you series on fictfact.com? Helps me stay updated with my favorite series (some of the time…).
Hard Bitten and Dead Reckoning are somewhat heartbreaking, but very good! There are so many series I have given up on, but I’ll have to follow Sookie and Merit to the very end!:)
I also have the Black Dagger Brotherhood series on my list! I can’t believe I haven’t read it any further. It’s such a great series!
Do I link here, or am I just missing the Linky?
I’m actually devoting a whole month to series that I need to finish.
I still need to read Drink Deep in the CV series.
Here’s my need to finish list:
- ARCO by Sydney Croft
- Jaz Parks by Jennifer Rardin
- Savannah Vampires series by Raven Hart (only read bk 1 but I’ve had all the others on my Nook for over 2 years)
There are a couple of others but I can’t think of them at the moment.
Oh BDB, be still my heart. Love those books!
I’m behind and need to catch up on the Dark-Hunter series as well as Midnight Breed series.
FictFact is awesome. I’d lose track of all of my series (and it seems that everything I read lately is a series) if it didn’t exist.
You have three up there that you NEED to get back into – STAT! (Kim Harrison, Kelley Armstrong, and Patricia Briggs).
I’ve only found out this feature. It’s so cool! I love the Sookie Stackhouse series and I need to catch up on a few other series, too. Here’s <a href="http://beyondstrangenewwords.blogspot.com/2012/02/desperately-wanting-wednesday-series-i.html"my post.
Sorry, I got the link wrong, Here’s the right one: http://beyondstrangenewwords.blogspot.com/2012/02/desperately-wanting-wednesday-series-i.html
There are a few series that I need to catch up on. The ones that I can think of right this moment are: Dark-Hunter series, October Daye series, Parisol Protectorate series, Jane Jameson series, and several more. ~sigh~
Book Bound

Oops, sorry! Didn’t mean to post that twice!
I have a couple of the same series on my list. Here’s My Post.
Here’s my Link if I miss the Linky before going to bed
I just realized how many series I need to finish. I’m afraid to see how many series I want to start. Yikes!

Here’s our WOW: http://booklovinmamas.blogspot.com/2012/02/desperately-wanting-wednesday-series-we.html
Didn’t see a Linky… here’s my DWW
I could have probably added a lot more series. A lot of the ones on your list are on my To Be Finished list, but I cut it down to only a few!
My post- http://literatishuffle.wordpress.com/2012/02/22/desperately-wanting-wednesday-february-22nd/
Oh I have more…much more LOL
Lover Avenged is the sh*t!! No serioulsy, it IS. I completely loved that book. Ward hit just the right note w/that one balancing action/romance. Can’t wait for you to read it and see what you thought.
Ninja Girl
I know ! I’ve heard a million times, it was just so hard sitting through Phury — gah!
Who likes Phurry!?? Ughhh not me! His was probably the worst book and the least like able of the brothers.
Lover Avenged was my favorite along with Lover Awakened!
I’m hoping the next Sookie but is better than the last two!
So, you have Hard Bitten pictured above, does that mean you stopped prior to Hard Bitten??! Unfair you didn’t have to suffer like the rest of us! Lol
Yes, I’m with you both about Phury
I was sooooo disappointed…but Rhev and his book were like a return to BDB good times. Can’t say I loved it more than Zsadist (nothing will top that for me). But Rhev was seriously bad ass, and it intro’d some great shady characters that I just loved! Now, I’m dying for her to write Quinn and Blay’s book
I have too many to count. In fact I think all you listed there are on my need to get to list. My reason is that I have too many review books on my tbr and unless one of the series books is in that, I have to pass for the time being. *sob*
I am absolutely obsessed with all of those series you posted. I seriously love them all. Especially the The Hollows and Black Dagger Brotherhood. Jump on those series!! :0)
I get side tracked when I get caught up in the series, especially if it is such a new series. I am also one who cannot read a series from book one to book end. This also causes the “squirrel” effect. LOL!
LOL. I need to read these as well. I understand and then I get review books, so I’m like eekss…..when will I read these series.
I gave up on BDB a while back, after the fifth book, I think, and I wish I’d given up on Sookie as well. The last two books were such a disappointment. I never really got into the Rachel Morgan series, but I’m reading so many UF series, it’s not really much of a loss.
The one I haven’t continued, but fully intend to is The Dresden Files.
I am horrible at not finishing series. I’ve actually devoted March to reading the second book in 12 different series because I never keep up with them. I have a whole post Here
oh, I was also going to add, I’ve had Drink Deep sitting by my bed for so long it’s actually dusty.
I haven’t read Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris. I need to pick that one up. But it’s been so long since I read the one before it, I feel like I need a little refresher…also I’m up to date on the JR Ward books, but I *want* a refresher before the next one comes out. *big grin*
Oh wonderful list! I’m a little late to the game with Ilona Andrews, and excited to start Magic Strikes next month.
And I really enjoyed Spellbound.
Hope you get and enjoy!
