Review: In the Forests of the Night by Kersten Hamilton

I don’t want to give away too much with my review, but this is a series you don’t want to miss out on. Full of original and lovable characters, a compelling and scary world along with plot twists and turns, the Goblin Wars series is unique and entertaining. The second in the series, the story catches up with Teagan, Finn and Aiden after their trek to Mag Mell to save Teagan and Aiden’s father. Now, back in the real world with a few other otherworldly creatures in two, Tea has to face facts that she is not quite normal and her world probably won’t be the same again. Her fears are confirmed when Teagan’s cousins begin showing up at her school, convinced that it is only time before she joins them. Exciting and rich in detail, I was sucked right back into Teagan Wylltson’s world and charmed by Finn, who is a love interest of über swoon proportions. I can’t wait to continue the series and recommend this gem to anyone interested in young adult fantasy and paranormal.

Recommendations:

Recommended for mature teens, there is a bit of scare factors and some heavy subjects but nothing blatant. 14+ is my take. The mature nature also makes it suitable for adults that enjoy the younger books. Fans of paranormal fantasy should enjoy. This one is not to be read out of order. Read the first one before this one.
